You can easily make a coffee filter out of linen or cotton fabric, by using a paper filter as a pattern.Make sure to wash your finished sewn filter thoroughly so you don’t have a taste of fabric in your coffee!

I used a piece of linen that was left over from a past project. As a family of coffee drinkers this filter saved us and the environment a lot. Even though pre-made coffee filters are paper and compostable, there’s a lot of energy going into the production,transportation and packaging.

When you make a fabric one, you wash it and reuse it!
