The one tree in the garden bears so much fruit that we\u2019re constantly processing them into jam, drying them, even making spicy sauces out of them!<\/p>\n<p>Today I made an apricot sourdough cake with sesame. The taste was as it had yogurt inside, and its texture was so light and airy.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s the recipe:<\/p>\n<p><b>Overnight<\/b><\/p>\n<p>1 cup sourdough<\/p>\n<p>2 cups flour<\/p>\n<p>2 cups lukewarm water<\/p>\n<p><b>Cake<\/b><\/p>\n<p>2 eggs<\/p>\n<p>1\/3 cup oil<\/p>\n<p>\u00bd cup sugar or molasses<\/p>\n<p>1 \u00bd to 2 cups flour<\/p>\n<p>\u00be cup milk or water or apricot juice<\/p>\n<p>2 teaspoons cinnamon<\/p>\n<p>1 teaspoon chai masala<\/p>\n<p>2 cups apricot jam<\/p>\n<p>\u00bd cup sesame (optional)<\/p>\n<p>Mix 1 cup sourdough with 2 cups flour and 2 cups lukewarm water, cover it with a cheesecloth and leave it overnight.<\/p>\n<p>In the morning add the rest of the ingredients and let it rise for 2-3 hours.<\/p>\n<p>Bake in the preheated oven at 200 degrees C.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s apricot time in Marpha!
